I was born and raised in Ellis County. I began my real estate career in 1989 and obtained my broker’s license in 1991. Working exclusively with the foreclosure market the first couple of years, I obtained a vast knowledge of the “short-sale” process and the distribution of REO properties. In 2001, I established City Real Estate and Mortgage in Austin creating what is now known as a one-stop shop process. City Real Estate and Mortgage was selected by the Austin Business Journal in 2006 and 2007 as one of the top companies in the Austin area. I sold my Austin operation in November 2008 and continue to sponsor a real estate company in Austin. I returned to Ellis County in 2008 and have continued selling real estate in North Texas and now the establishment of City Real Estate in Ennis. With over 400 individual transactions and in access of 3500 sponsored transactions, I have an across the board knowledge of buying and selling real estate in Texas. After years of commuting to Dallas and working in a huge corporate office, I realized that I was no longer satisfied with my career. I had a vision of getting into Real Estate. Encouraged by my family, mostly my mother-in-law–a retired real estate woman herself, I decided to seek out a new direction. Having designed and built nine homes of my own, my mother-in-law felt that I knew exactly what other people wanted when they were shopping for their own home. These personal experiences and my gift of gab has enabled me to help others determine what they were looking for in a new home and how to “stage” their existing home for showings. Also, combined with my passion to help others, becoming a Realtor seemed the natural thing to do. Ms. Hendrix grew up on a farm and participated in family business interests at a young age. She has been a co-owner of a steel construction company for over ten years and owned and managed her personal business for 15 years.
